Description	:	The Tipton Advertiser August 9, 1918 OBITUARY. Roxana Jane Busier was born December 10, 1843, in Peoria, Ill., and passed away at her home in Cedar Rapids august 4, 1918. Mrs. Busier was a pioneer of Cedar county, having come to Iowa by wagon in 1855 and settled on a farm about five miles east of Tipton. Here she was married in 1867 to Martin Busier, to which union there were born seven children, one son and six daughters. Roxana Jane Busier was born December 10, 1843, in Peoria, Ill., and passed away at her home in Cedar Rapids august 4, 1918. Mrs. Busier was a pioneer of Cedar county, having come to Iowa by wagon in 1855 and settled on a farm about five miles east of Tipton. Here she was married in 1867 to Martin Busier, to which union there were born seven children, one son and six daughters. She reared her family in Cedar county and even thought she moved to Cedar Rapids in 1907 she has always called Cedar county her "home." Mr. Busier passed away in 1891, and there remains to mourn the loss of a mother's love and companionship: Mrs. George Cottrell, Luverne, Minn.; Mrs. Isabelle Beck, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Ella Gay, Cedar Rapids, Ia.; Mrs. Mamie L. Shea, Oakland, Cala.; Mrs. Eva M. Root, Oak Park, Ill.; Mrs. Jennie M. Fish, Minneapolis, Minn. Two sisters, Adeline Doty of Lake View and Minerva Peck, Pupallup, Wash., survive her. Her many friends and neighbors in Cedar county, as well as her newly made friends in Cedar Rapids, will miss her continual good cheer and her readiness and pleasure in seeing and hearing good of those with whom she has been brought in contact. Services were held at her late home 1547 Washington Ave., Cedar Rapids, on Monday evening by her pastor, Rev. F. S. Bromer, and another service held in the Tipton Reformed church on Tuesday morning by Revs. F. S. Bromer and J. N. Naly, after which the remains were laid to rest in the family burying ground in the Wright cemetery.
