Description	:	Roxy V. Adams, 89, of Council Bluffs died May 13 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Mr. Adams was born on Dec. 3, 1914, in Cass County to William and Lottie (Thompson) Adams. He graduated from Elliott High School in 1934. He was a resident of Council Bluffs since 1965. He was employed as a foreman at Blue Star Foods (Con Agra) for 16 years, retiring in 1982. Adams, 89, of Council Bluffs died May 13 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Mr. Adams was born on Dec. 3, 1914, in Cass County to William and Lottie (Thompson) Adams. He graduated from Elliott High School in 1934. He was a resident of Council Bluffs since 1965. He was employed as a foreman at Blue Star Foods (Con Agra) for 16 years, retiring in 1982. He was a 50-year member of Masonic Cass Lodge No. 412 of Griswold. He married Donna Jens. She died on Oct. 12, 1989. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Eva Dumler, Martha Jewell, Hattie Petersen; and five brothers, Ross, Robert, Walter, Russell and Earl. Survivors include stepsons, Paul Pierce and wife, Diane, of Omaha, Dan Clark and wife, Susan, of Hutchison, Minn, and David Pierce of Denison; stepdaughter, Darlene Squire of Council Bluffs; sister-in-law, Beatrice Adams of Griswold; special friend, Phil Green of Council Bluffs; numerous stepgrandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be performed at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Eberhard Hering officiating.
