Read More	ROY C. SPIRES DIED ON SUNDAY Mr. Roy Carlisle Spires who was engaged in the trucking business for a number of years, died at his home here Sunday. He had been in ill health for about a year. He was 50 years of age. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Spires and the husband of Mrs. Margaret Spires, who survives. Roy Spires was a likeable man amiable accommodating, highly regarded, a good neighbor, and he had a wide circle of warm friends While it was generally understood that his health was not too good for the past year, his death on Sunday came as a shock to relatives and friends whose esteem and affection he had earned and enjoyed during his lifetime. Funeral services were held a 2:00 p m Wednesday in the Himman Funeral Home here, conducted by the Rev. Ray Chamberlian pastor of the Gospel Tabernacle assisted by the Rev Addison L. Smith. pastor of Mt Pleasant Methodist Church. Burial was in the Crisfield Cemetery. Surviving him are his widow Mrs. Margaret Spires: two sons Billy Lee Spires and Roy George Spires: a step son, Carroll Bedsworth, Jr.: his parents, Mr. and Mrs Charles C.
