Description	:	Roy Royer, 59, of Clarinda died Saturday morning at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage after being hospitalized for only two days. Mr Royer was born at Essex on Dec 27, 1896. He grew up in the Rose Hill neighborhood, where he farmed for several years. The family moved to Clarinda 12 years ago and Mr Royer had been employed by the CB&Q Railroad for 13 years with the section crew. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church at Clarinda. Mr Royer was born at Essex on Dec 27, 1896. He grew up in the Rose Hill neighborhood, where he farmed for several years. The family moved to Clarinda 12 years ago and Mr Royer had been employed by the CB&Q Railroad for 13 years with the section crew. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church at Clarinda. Survivors include his wife Myrtle; two sons and their families, Mr and Mrs Harry David Royer of Monmouth, Ill, and Mr and Mrs Wayne Edward Royer of Essex; four grandchildren; a brother, Earl Royer of Hepburn; and a sister, Mrs Fern Pullan of Clarinda. Funeral services will be held Tuesday. There will be a prayer service for the family at the Foster-Harmon-Williams Mortuary at 1:40 pm, followed by services at the United Presbyterian Church at 2 pm. The Rev C.E. Hawthorne, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be in North Page Cemetery.
