Read More	Obituary The Cambridge Leader, September 4, 1958 Last Rites For Roy Elliott Roy Elliott, son of Mary and Reuben Elliott was born in the White Oak Community, July 16, 1878, and passed away August 31, 1958 at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 15 days. He was a member of the United Brethren Church in White Oak. On May 31, 1904 he was united in marriage to Nellie Ryan. To this union one son was born. He was in the Restaurant business for 25 years in Huxley. Later he started in the Service Station and along with his son has been with the Shell Oil Co. for almost 30 years. He continued active in the Service Station business until a month before he passed away. He showed signs of failing health the last 6 months, and he had a heart attack August 6. He entered the hospital and remained there most of the time until his death. Surviving are his wife, Nellie, one son, Orval; one granddaughter, Barbara; other relatives and a host of friends. Last rites were held Wednesday at the Nazareth Lutheran church in Cambridge with Pastor Clyde E. Brueland in charge. Richard Sydnes sang 2 hymns and was accompanied by Mrs. Noel Larson at the organ. Casket bearers were Lester Ryen, Raymond Ryen, Milford Ryen, Elwood Ryan, Walter Olson, and Ernest Fjelland. Burial was in the Palestine cemetery.
