Description	:	Funeral service for the late Roy Gilbert Robar, aged 79, of North River, was held Sunday, April 30 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River, Rev. Rolf Meindl officiating. Mr. Robar passed away at Dawson Memorial Hospital, April 28. Born in North River, he was a son of the late Samuel and Amanda Robar. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and for the greater part of his life was employed as a laborer. Prior to his passing he resided with his daughter, Phyllis, (Mrs. Samuel MacDonald), Meisner's Section. The body rested at Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany.... He was predeceased by his wife, the former Winnifred (Daniels), three sisters, Mary, Ida and Leila, also two brothers, William and Angus. Left to mourn his passing are five daughters, Ruby (Mrs. Max Acker), North River; Elva (Mrs. Laurie DeMone), New Germany; Violet (Mrs. Lyman Veinot), Kingston; Phyllis (Mrs. Samuel MacDonald), Meisner's Section; and Gloria (Mrs. Cornelius Gabriel) Lake Paul. There are also 30 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were six grandchildren, Ainsley Acker, Max Acker Jr., Michael Gabriel, Dexter Gabriel, Barry DeMone and LeRoy Hearn. Interment was at the New Germany Community Cemetery. Flowers were from the immediate family and donations made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River.
