Roy was born on October 27, 1941, the son of Wilbur and Iva (Umble) Bingham in Melcher-Dallas, Iowa. Roy attended country school in Melcher-Dallas. Bingham, age 77, of rural Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on February 16, 2019 at his residence. Roy was born on October 27, 1941, the son of Wilbur and Iva (Umble) Bingham in Melcher-Dallas, Iowa. Roy attended country school in Melcher-Dallas. After school, Roy did construction work and worked for the City of Knoxville. He was united in marriage on February 11, 1978, to Michele Dursky. Roy had many hobbies and interests, including, camping and visiting with friends, attending his children’s sporting events, visiting with family and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor, a love of beer, and was loved by his family. He will be greatly missed by them all. Visitation for Roy will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Winfield Funeral Home of Knoxville, beginning at 4:00 P.M. Roy’s family will be present to greet relatives and friends from 5:00 P.M. ~ 7:30 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Winfield Funeral Home of Knoxville at 10:30 A.M. Burial services will be held on a later date at Zion Cemetery. Those left to cherish Roy’s memory include his wife, Michele Bingham; daughters, Jessica (Justin) Davis; Jodi Reeh, and Tina Bingham; son, Todd Bingham; brother, Gene (Bea) Bingham; sisters, Alberta (Bill) Ryerson, and Bertha Gibbons; several grandchildren, including, Jocelyn, Tanna and Caiden Davis, Deryk Bingham, Daryan Johnson, Adrienne Farriester, Justin and Zack Bingham; and four great-grandchildren. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Iva Bingham; son, Bob Bingham; brothers, Frank Bingham and Kenneth Bingham; sisters, Marge Hooten, Ruth Kennedy, Lois Johnson, and one sister in infancy.
