Read More	Roy “Hawk” William Terrell, Sr. Graveside services for Roy “Hawk” William Terrell, Sr. will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020 in the Hill-Mathis Cemetery of Pitkin with Brother Robert Jordan officiating, under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Hawk, 77, of Bundicks Lake, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in his residence. He was born June 7, 1943 in Oakdale to the union of James Swilley Terrell and Violet (McDaniel)Terrell. Hawk was a welder and a break man for the railroad in Kinder, then transferred to Dry Creek working at Trinity Concrete Products as a dredge operator. He was a member of the Four Winds Tribe Louisiana Cherokee for many years. Hawk enjoyed his view of Bundicks Lake from his porch and loved to fish. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Violet Terrell; his wife, Edith (McCallon) Terrell; three brothers, James Terrell, Olan Terrell and Jessie Terrell; sisters, Bobbie Oldham; and grandson, Bradley Paul Boswell. Those left behind to cherish his memory are two daughters, Melissa Terrell of Kinder and Samantha Gunter (Curtis) of Gardner; three sons, Roy William Terrell, Jr. of Fairfax, Missouri, Travis Terrell of Pitkin and Wade Terrell of Gardner; four brothers, Kelly Terrell (Charlotte) of Fort Worth, Texas, Earl Terrell (Evelyn) of Pineville, Danny Terrell (Thelma) of Woodworth and Jerry Welch of Alexandria; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; his beloved companion, “Copper” his Chihuahua; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Pallbearers to serve will be Jarred Boswell, Joshua Boswell, Roy Terrell Jr., Travis Terrell, James Mayo and James Terrell. Honorary pallbearer to serve will be Curtis Gunter. In keeping within the Louisiana State guidelines, we will practice social distancing between individuals not from the same household in the cemetery. All attendees and employees are required to wear face coverings. We encourage frequent use of hand sanitizer and ask that any individuals who are sick stay home.
