Mr Drommond, a son of James and Amanda Drommond, spent his boyhood on a farm near Sanborn, Neb. He was married on June 5, 1911 to Amy Smith and the couple lived on a farm near Sanborn until Dec.1917,when Mr. Drommond and his brother, Earl Drommond,bought the City Meat Market at Wray. The Drommond brothers operated the meat market here until the mid 1930's and were prominent in the business, civic and social life of Wray. In 1936 Mr.&Mrs Roy Drommond moved to Denver. There he was employed in the rug department of the old D & F Store and continued with this firm until shortly before it was consolidated with the May Company when he retired. Mrs Drommond died on Dec. 23, 1943 and was brought to Wray for burial. Survivors include a son, Frank of Denver; a daughter, Mrs. Irma Anger of Denver;three brothers George of Laird and James and Earl of Wray: four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church in Wray. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
