Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Christiansen, and at the Methodist church at 2 p. m.,conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. A. Winterstein. Burial was made in Grace Hill cemetery. Ruby Christiansen was born July 17, 1896, in Sioux county in the Highland neighborhood and had lived in this community all her life. She was united in marriage Dec. 4, 1914, with Karl Neilsen, two children, Ellen Christina, six years of age, and Paul Elmer, four years of age, being born to,them. Her husband died Dec. 18, 1918, and on May 31, 1921, she married his brother, John Neilsen. The deceased was a consistent Christian, having been baptized in the Highland church. Besides her sorrowing husband and two little children, there are left to mourn her death her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christiansen, seven sisters, Mrs. Howard Searle of Akron and Mrs. Albert Anderson, Magdalene, Lena Marie, Serine, Emma and Loretta, all of this city, and two brothers, Elmer of Pomeroy, Iowa, and Harry of this city. The untimely death of this young wife and mother comes as a terrible shock to the husband and relatives, all of whom have the heartfelt sympathy of the community in their hour of sadness.
