Description	:	Ruby E. Derr, 91, of Ashland died Sunday morning, June 7, 2009, in Brookwood Place at Brethren Care Village, where she had lived since 2006. Ruby was born Aug. 31, 1917, in Loudonville, the daughter of Carson and Ruby (Sellers) Wise. She was a 1935 graduate of Loudonville High School and lived in Loudonville most her life. She worked as a bookkeeper for Kettering Hospital for 14 years until her retirement in 1971. She previously worked as a secretary for Loudonville Motor Co. Derr, 91, of Ashland died Sunday morning, June 7, 2009, in Brookwood Place at Brethren Care Village, where she had lived since 2006. Ruby was born Aug. 31, 1917, in Loudonville, the daughter of Carson and Ruby (Sellers) Wise. She was a 1935 graduate of Loudonville High School and lived in Loudonville most her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church and played the piano for the Sunday school for many years. Ruby was a member of the ladies bowling league and the bridge club. She loved traveling to Canada and Las Vegas with her husband, Paul A. Derr, whom she married June 22, 1939. He died April 9, 2004. She is survived by many nieces and nephews from the Wise and Derr families. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Keith Eugene Derr; her daughter, Linda Jane Derr; and three brothers, Edward E., Glenn R. and Paul Wise.
