Description	:	Obit: DEATH COMES TO RUBY E. SIMMONS Miss Ruby Elizabeth Simmons, 58, well-known Ellensburg woman, died yesterday afternoon at the Airway nursing home. She had been in failing health for some time. A descendant of a pioneer Washington family, Miss Simmons was born at Oyster Bay, Wash.; May 8, 1891. She came to the Kittitas valley with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael T. Simmons, when she was two years old and had lived here ever since. She was a granddaughter of Coil. Michael T. He instituted the first Masonic lodge in the Northwest. Miss Simmons was a talented musician, playing the piano and violin and also was known for her fancy work. She was a member of the Elks ladies auxiliary. She is survived by a brother, Lee Simmons of Ellensburg.
