Description	:	Ruby Ellen Olesen, the daughter of Hilton and Bessie (Derrickson) Harris, was born on July 28, 1946 near Graettinger, IA. She grew up on the family farm and attended school, graduating from the Graettinger High School in 1964. Ruby was united in marriage to Robert "Ole" Olesen on May 22, 1971 in Estherville, IA. Read More	Ruby Ellen Olesen, the daughter of Hilton and Bessie (Derrickson) Harris, was born on July 28, 1946 near Graettinger, IA. She grew up on the family farm and attended school, graduating from the Graettinger High School in 1964. Ruby was united in marriage to Robert "Ole" Olesen on May 22, 1971 in Estherville, IA. After their marriage they moved to Fulda, MN. Ruby stayed at home to raise her children until she started working at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home. She has worked as a CNA for the past 23 years at Maple Lawn. Ruby remained at her home after Ole passed away in March of 2001. Ruby passed away at the Sanford Hospital on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the age of 65. She enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, playing Cribbage, latch hook and play games and other crafts. Ruby also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her two daughters, Robin (Brad) Arneson of Sioux Falls, SD and Rashel Olesen of Sioux Falls, SD; two grandchildren, Tyler and Nicholas Arneson of Sioux Falls, SD; three brothers, Bob (Thelma) Harris of Graettinger, IA, Cliff Harris and special friend, Phyllis Peterson of Ruthven, IA and Richard Harris of Hartley, IA and sister, Eva (Sam) Lowman of Estherville, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ole, sister, Margaret Hull and infant brother, Charles. Funeral Services Maple Lawn Nursing Home Chapel Fulda, MN at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 with the Pastor Peter Speieser officiating. The organist is Mary Ann Boom. The honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren. Interment at South Walnut Danish Cemetery Graettinger, IA.
