Description	:	Mrs. Ruby J. Pollard, 65, member of the pioneer Cathey family, died Monday morning at her Fortuna home following an extended illness. Born November 12, 1894, in Fortuna, she spent her childhood in Hydesvile and Miranda. She had been a lifetime resident of the county and of Fortuna for more than fifty years, and was a member of Fortuna chapter 301, Women of the Moose. Survivors include sons, Alfred E. and Harold W. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Goble's Fortuna Mortuary, the Rev. Ray Magnuson officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot of Ocean View Cemetery, Eureka. Pallbearers will be William Graham, Sewell Lufkin, Robert Russ, George Peck, Erle Verry, and William James.
