Description	:	Watkin S. (Watt) Pollard, 68, Fortuna, died early this morning in a Fortuna hospital after a brief illness. He was born October 12, 1890, in Myrtle Point, Oregon. He came to California as a child and spent his youth in Sonoma county. He came to Humboldt county in 1900 and had resided in Fortuna nearly 50 years. He came to California as a child and spent his youth in Sonoma county. He came to Humboldt county in 1900 and had resided in Fortuna nearly 50 years. He had been a self-employed ranched and was a member of the Moose Lodge of Fortuna. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby J. Pollard; sons, Alfred E. Pollard and Harold W. Pollard, both of Fortuna; brothers, Howard Pollard, McCann; Allen Pollard, Napa; grandchildren, Mrs. Marilyn Harr, Riverside; Jack, Joseph, James and Eileen Pollard, all of Fortuna, and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the chapel of Goble's Fortuna Mortuary The Rev. Enos Nelson will officiate. Interment will follow in Ocean View Cemetery, Eureka. Pallbearers will be Charles Haley, George Peck, Lloyd Keehley, Volley Olsen, Earl Dery and Hero Stone.
