Ruby was born February 5, 1934 in Pleasant Twp. of Clark County to Arthur and Rena Maifield. She attended school in Pleasant Twp. and graduated from Willow Lake High School in 1952. While living... Read More	Ruby Herker, 74, Park Rapids, MN, formerly of the Bradley & Willow Lake, SD areas died early Monday morning, February 11, 2008 in a Park Rapids Care Center. Ruby was born February 5, 1934 in Pleasant Twp. of Clark County to Arthur and Rena Maifield. She attended school in Pleasant Twp. and graduated from Willow Lake High School in 1952. Ruby was united in marriage to Eldon Herker on September 12, 1958. The couple lived in various locations in Willow Lake, moving to Bradley, SD in 1999. In July of 2007, they moved to Park Rapids, MN. While living in the Willow Lake area, Ruby held waitress and cooking positions at various restaurants. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing quilts, fishing and playing cards. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Willow Lake. Ruby will be sadly missed by her husband, Eldon, Park Rapids, MN; two daughters and their spouses; Brenda and Robert Davis, Akeley, MN; Verna and Steven Lohse, Comstock, MN; one son, Brent Herker, Yankton, SD; twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren; one sister, Ardelle Fullmer, Bryant, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one son, Jeffrey. Funeral services will be Friday morning, February 15, 2008 at Grace Lutheran Church in Willow Lake. Pastor David Larson will be officiating. Burial will follow the service in Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery near Vienna, SD. Pallblearers will be Ruby's grandchildren – Wayne Tooker, Monica Petrowske, Casey Puchalla, Devin Tooker, Dave Lohse, Anna Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Natasha Herker. Arne Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Herker family.
