Ruby died Friday, May 30, 2003, at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege. She was born April 8, 1913, near Elwood to Fred and Minnie [Reynolds] Rhinehart. She attended rural school and graduated from Elwood High School. On May 13, 1933, she married Paul Tilson at Kearney and they made their home on the family homestead north of Elwood. She had been employed with Clark Mercantile for 13 years. The couple moved to Elwood in 1991. She had made her home at Holdrege for the past five years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Christian Women's Fellowship, Home Builders Club, Help One Another Club, Jolly Janes Pinochle Club, Royal Neighbors Lodge and was active on the Centennial Committee. Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Jorges, Lincoln, Marlyne [Ed] Bannister, Holdrege, and Kathy [Bill] Weismann, Elwood; a sister, Doris Wareham, Gothenburg; a brother, Freddie Rhinehart, Elwood; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Tilson, in 1992, and three brothers, Kenneth, Homer and Don Rhinehart. A memorial has been established in her memory. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad was in charge of arrangements. __________________
