Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Herbert Fay Barnhill and daughter of the late Garnet Martin and the late Vinnie Cooper Martin. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She was a former Red Cross volunteer and a former Hospital Auxiliary volunteer. Surviving are a son, John G.
