She is survived by her loving husband, Orville Richard Cole; daughters Dawn Marie Heath and Shelley Lee Cole; son Kelly Richard Cole; grandson, Wayne Cole Heath; sister, Linda Lee Ford and sons-in-law, Frank Heath and Alex Citron. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Marie Farrell and siblings, Norma Cole, John Farrell and Ora Jane Clarkson. Ruby grew up in Sterling and moved to Lewiston, Idaho in her teens. This is where she met Orville, her husband of nearly 62 years. After being married, both Orville and Ruby worked for the Bon Marche Department Store. They moved back to Colorado in 1965 and settled in Aurora. Ruby worked for Colorado National Bank in Denver and later for Credit Union National Association in Madison, Wisconsin She was an avid collector of Cape Cod glassware made by the Imperial Glass Company. She loved Scottish terriers owning 7 during her lifetime. One of her last wishes was to acquire yet another Scottie. She was a fabulous seamstress, designing and making clothing for her family from the time her children were small until her daughters were married in the 1980s. Ruby loved to travel, putting thousands of miles on her cars over the years. She drove cross-country on numerous occasions to visit family and attend glass shows and sales and enjoyed two cruises in her lifetime - one to Alaska and the other in Europe including Amsterdam and St. Petersburg. At their home in Idaho Ruby and Orville designed a beautiful rock and flower garden in their front yard and a huge vegetable garden in the back. Neighbors always benefited from their abundance of produce. When settled in Aurora, roses became the theme with several flower beds occupying the back yard. And she was a wonderful cook. Anyone who has shared a meal in the Cole's home has experienced her spaghetti and meatballs and Christmas breakfast was never without her home-made cinnamon rolls. Ruby led a rich and full life overcoming numerous back surgeries to continue with her time with family and travels. She will be missed by countless people.
