Description	:	Rubye Winchester Mann passed away on June 11 2017. She was shy of her 102 birthday by just two weeks. She was born in Six Mile, SC to Willoughby “Good” Winchester and June Abercrombie Winchester. The oldest of five children, she grew up and lived in Six Mile all her life. Rubye was a very active member of Six Mile Baptist Church where she was a devoted member of the Ladies Bible Class and the Women’s Missionary Society until she moved into assisted living six years ago. She was shy of her 102 birthday by just two weeks. She was born in Six Mile, SC to Willoughby “Good” Winchester and June Abercrombie Winchester. The oldest of five children, she grew up and lived in Six Mile all her life. Rubye was a very active member of Six Mile Baptist Church where she was a devoted member of the Ladies Bible Class and the Women’s Missionary Society until she moved into assisted living six years ago. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to many states, especially spending time in the Blue Ridge Mountains, which she could see from her window every day. Rubye was an avid gardener, enjoying her flowers both outside and inside of her house. A wonderful cook and accomplished baker, nothing made her happier than entertaining family for the holidays. She was a homemaker and worked at Six Mile Elementary School cafeteria. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 72 years, Albert “Chub” Mann, her parents, and her sisters, Ruth Saad and Erelene Mann. Rubye is survived by her daughter, Jane Mann Coward (Wayne) of Collierville, TN and a son, Tom Mann (Kim) of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Abby Coward Reed (Danny) and Angie Coward Davis of Collierville, TN, Chad Mann (Jennifer) of Johns Creek, GA; and great-grandchildren, Mckenzie and Aaron Reed, Wayne and Wesley Davis, Jake and Charlie Mann, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sister, Bert Clark of Pickens, SC and a brother, Don Winchester of Easley, SC. Funeral Services will be held at Six Mile Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
