The son of Milton G. and Ella J. Marshall Bighley, he was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota June 7, 1896. He was married to Ernestine Todd Butler and she preceded him in death in 1970. He is survived by two stepsons, Albert Todd of Mt. Sterling, Iowa, and W. S. Todd of Arbela, Missouri, several step-grandchildren, Albert Leslie, Mary Ann, John Robert, Jackie Kay, and Betty Jo, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God and was a retired electrician. Services were Wednesday, November 2, at 2 p.m. at the Karle-Shaffer Funeral Home with burial in the Blackledge cemetery, rural Mt. Sterling, Iowa. The Rev. Harold Shelton officiated. Organist: Margaret Davis. Pallbearers: George Smith, Forrest Boss, Richard James, John Todd, Bill Moss and Randy Malone. Arrangements by Karle-Shaffer Funeral Home. [Obituary Transcript - R. L. Music was provided by Margaret Davis, organist. Pallbearers were George Smith, Forrest Moss, Richard James, John Todd. Jim DeWitt, and Eddie Oilar.
