Description	:	WALER, RUSSELL HARRISON—Russell H. Walker, son of Jesse and Adelian Walker, was born in Stanton township, December 11, 1887. He passed away suddenly at his home November 29, 1948, aged 60 years, 11 months, 18 days. He had been in poor health for some time, but had been downtown the day before. He has been failing in health for several months, but few... Read More	WALER, RUSSELL HARRISON—Russell H. Walker, son of Jesse and Adelian Walker, was born in Stanton township, December 11, 1887. He passed away suddenly at his home November 29, 1948, aged 60 years, 11 months, 18 days. He had been in poor health for some time, but had been downtown the day before. He lived his entire life in this immediate community, working as a carpenter. He was of a quiet nature, yet always had a ready answer of droll wit, which won for him many friends. He has been failing in health for several months, but few of his friends were aware of this, as he was always cheerful. He will be greatly missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and his cousin, Pearl Case, who has kept house for him the last twelve years. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Ann Dowis of Arcadia, Neb., Mrs. Margaret Marr of Battle Creek, Neb., Mrs. Maude McPeck of Geneva, and Blanche Merryman of Shickley, and four brothers, Charles and Frank of Lincoln, Jerome of Arcadia and Cyrus of Geneva. Funeral services were held at the Hrubesky-Farmer Mortuary Wednesday with Rev. David Tudor of Aurora officiating. Musical selections were rendered by Mrs. W. H. Hinkle and Mrs. J. W. Hammond.
