Description	:	Russell R. Teague, age 88, of Auburn, Iowa, passed away at Regency Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Carroll, Iowa, on Sunday, January 6, 2008. The son of Len M. and Audrey (Rowe) Teague, Russell was born on April 27, 1919, in Early, Iowa. He was baptized at the Auburn Presbyterian Church and graduated from Schaller High School. Read More	Russell R. Teague, age 88, of Auburn, Iowa, passed away at Regency Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Carroll, Iowa, on Sunday, January 6, 2008. The son of Len M. and Audrey (Rowe) Teague, Russell was born on April 27, 1919, in Early, Iowa. He was baptized at the Auburn Presbyterian Church and graduated from Schaller High School. He worked as a farmhand until he was inducted into the United States Army, serving his country from November 1943-November 1945 in Europe, earning the Silver Star for his service. On October 14, 1940, Russell was united in marriage to Margaret L. Blessington at the Presbyterian Church in Sac City. They lived in and around Auburn all their married life. Russell was a carpenter, an electrician, Postmaster, and worked for the U. S. Postal Service as a rural letter carrier at Auburn for 42 years, retiring on October 28, 1994. He was a member of the Auburn Presbyterian Church, member of the Jephtha Masonic Lodge No. 201 A. F. & A. M. of Auburn, Abu Bekr Shrine and Consistory of Sioux City, Iowa. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Auburn; daughter Mary (James) Obman of Auburn; granddaughter Sherry (Ron) Oppen of Rochester, MN; grandson Paul Obman of Auburn; and three great-grandchildren: Logan, Juliana, and McKenna. Other survivors include his brother: R. Dudley Teague of Manhattan, KS; sisters: Phyliss Huselbus of Denison, IA, Lois Ellsworth of Sioux City, IA, Naioma Schaffer of Storm Lake, IA, and Illeta Barclay of S. Sioux City, NE; two sisters-in-law: Nelda Teague of Atlantic, IA, and Betty Teague of Ames, IA; and many extended family members. Russell was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and brothers-in-law: A. Dorothy (Donald) Burrows and Marjorie (Hank) Carver; three brothers and sister-in-law: Bill (Geneva) Teague, George Teague and Cecil Teague; and brother-in-law Gerald Schaffer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9th, at the Presbyterian Church in Auburn with Rev. Donald Gibson officiating. Burial will be at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Auburn under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home with a presentation of the flag by the American Legion Conrad Post No. 284 of Auburn. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8th at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. by the Jephtha Masonic Lodge No. 201 A. F. & A.
