Read More	The Emporia Gazette (Emporia, Kansas), Thu, Dec 23, 1937 Eureka Boy Is Killed By Car Russell Roby, 18, Is Victim, Hold Inquest Today Special to the Gazette: Eureka, Dec. 23 — Russell Roby, 18, son of Mrs. Mary Roby, of Eureka, was instantly killed here at 10 o'clock Wednesday night when struck by a car driven by Floyd Grove, 17, Eureka farm boy. Roby was said to be walking east across Main street at Seventh when the accident occurred. In the car with Grove was a boy friend of Grove's, and two girls, all of Eureka, officers said. According to Frank Sherman, chief of police, Grove was in the act of passing another car at the intersection when the accident occurred. Grove's car, a Ford V-8, had been borrowed from his brother.
