A joint memorial graveside service and burial of the cremains, for Bob, Ruthie, and Bobs sister, Viva Preston, will be held on Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Phillips Cemetery, Phillips, NE with Pastor James W. They have memories of her enjoying playing cards, crazy marbles, and spending time with friends and family. Ruthie was born at Wolbach, NE, Sept. 19, 1916 to Ed and Dorcas Rains. She was part of a large and loving family of nine children, living in the Giltner area where she graduated from high school. Later she attended Beauty College. She was a loving devoted wife, was a very good cook and seamstress, loved to play cards, and was always cheerful and up beat. She and Bob enjoyed her family, especially their two children, Bob, Jr., and Ruth Ann. She was a very loyal Nebraska Football fan, always wearing her red sweater and Husker pin on every game day. Those left to cherish Bob & Ruthies memory are, son Bob, Jr. and daughter-in-law Linda of Doniphan, daughter Ruth Ann Zeilenga of Longview, WA, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. In addition, Ruthie has three living sisters, Alice, Edith, and Mable. Ruthie was preceded in death by her sisters: Minnie, Ella, and Gracie, and brothers Clyde and Johnnie.
