She grew up in Omaha where she attended Central Park grade school and graduated from Omaha North High School in 1974. Ruth went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She grew up in Omaha where she attended Central Park grade school and graduated from Omaha North High School in 1974. Ruth went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. As a young girl, Ruth enjoyed Girl Scouts, Band, playing clarinet and oboe, Debate Team and tennis and was honored to be a member of the Omaha All-City Orchestra. As Ruth began her engineering career, she has lived in Omaha, Liberal, Kansas and Houston, Texas. She worked for Northern Natural Gas which became Enron before working as an independent consultant. Ruth was an avid sports fan with season tickets to the Houston Texans and enjoyed golf and travelling. She was independent and self-confident and preferred things her own way. During her trips home to Omaha, Ruth enjoyed dinners out at Valentino’s and Runza. Ruth passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2015 at her home in Houston, Texas at the age of 59 years and 6 days. She was preceded in death by her father Daniel. Ruth is survived by her mother Edna Concannon; brother and sister-in-law Paul and Julie Concannon; Aunt Helen Petersen all of Omaha; cousins, niece Laurel Concannon and nephews Daniel and Noah Concannon.
