She died Saturday, January 19, 1991, at the Kimball County Hospital in Kimball, at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 1 day. She was one of 6 children in the family. Ruth lived in several Eastern Nebraska communities, including Geneva, where she married Ralph Reemts on February 14, 1927, in Geneva. To this union three children were born, Lester Una Lou and Norva. Ruth was a member of the Eastern Star and the Trinity Methodist Church in Kimball. For the last 24 years she has resided in Kimball, near her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph, stillborn daughter, Una Lou. Also preceding her were brothers; George, John, Ed and Vern and a sister, Ruby Davis. She is survived by her son, Lester and by her daughter, Norva Volkmer, both of Kimball. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 1991, with Rev. Stanley Rider officiating. Mrs. Kenneth Prater, accompanied Mr. Curtis Prater, who sang “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art.” Casket bearers were members of Masonic Lodge 79 AF&AM; Earl C. Bleach, Robert J. Cellar, Marlin Domeier, Vaughn C. Fulton, Charles A. Grothe, and M.A. Nichols. Interment was in the Geneva Public Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal January 31st, 1991 page 5. -------- Twin sister to Ruby (Farmer) Davis. Ruth was also the foster daughter of Lester and Louise Donisthorpe.
