Read More	REEMTS, RALPH R.—Ralph R. Reemts passed away at 2 a.m., at the Kimball County hospital, Kimball, June 25, 1980, at the age of 74 years, five months and 17 days. Ralph was born January 8, 1906, to John B. and Bertha Maumann Reemts on a farm near Hebron. During his early years the family lived in David City, Bellwood and Foley, Nebraska. After the accidental death of his father in 1918, the family resided in Geneva except for a brief period spent in Bellwood. Ralph graduated from Geneva high school in 1923. He graduated from Missouri Pharmacy school in 1927 and on February 14, of that year, he was married to Ruth C. Farmer. To this union were born three children; Lester L. in 1930, Una Lou in 1935 and Norva Jean in 1937. Between 1937 and 1941 the family lived in Kearney, Grand Island, Broken Bow and Lexington where Ralph managed the drug stores. In 1941 Ralph and Larry Doud purchased “Picard Pharmacy” in Geneva. The famiy remained in Geneva until a heart attack in 1965 forced Ralph to sell his business. In 1966 he and Ruth moved to Kimball where he realized one of his lifelong dreams-to work with his son in a pharmacy. At the state pharmaceutical convention in the spring of 1977, Ralph was awarded a gold certificate for 50 years of service, along with nine other Nebraska registered pharmacists. Ralph has been a member of the Methodist church since a boy in Bellwood. He was a member of the elks, Sesostris Shrine Temple of Lincoln, past president of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, past master of Geneva Masonic Lodge No. 79 and past patron of the Order of Eastern Star at Geneva. Ralph loved people, flowers, cooking and whatever he undertook, he pursued it with a vigorous enthusiasm. Treasured memories of his life will be shared by his family and many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and an infant daughter. He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Kimball; a son, Lester and wife Beverly of Kimball; daughter, Norva and husband, George Volkmer of Geneva; a sister, Mrs. Margurete Miller of Geneva; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Allen funeral home, Friday, June 27, 1980, at 1:30 in Kimball. The pastor, Rev. Dwight Kemling of the Kimball Methodist church, officiated. Mrs. Joan Hilkemeier sang “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art”. The organist was Karen Young. Immediately following the service, Ralph was taken to the Farmer and Son funeral home in Geneva. Services were held at the United Methodist church in Geneva, Saturday, June 28, 1980, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Jay Funk. The vocalist, Delwin Myers, sang “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art” accompanied by the church organist, Mrs. Leonard Ackland. A Masonic graveside service, officiated by Dr. Dave Portwood, was in the Geneva cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Biba, John R. Bixby, Charles A Grothe, Robert Nichols, Forrest Swails and Bernard Weiss, Masonic Brothers. The Nebraska Signal 3 July 1980 page 5.
