Mrs. Morton was born in Carter County on March 1, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Floyd William and Pearl Culler. Read More	Ruth Culler Morton, 83, 2823 Bob Little Road, Elizabethton, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. Mrs. Morton was born in Carter County on March 1, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Floyd William and Pearl Culler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Morton; two daughters, Patricia Elaine and Karen Theresa; and a granddaughter, Jeannie Morton. She graduated from Happy Valley High School. Mrs. Morton was the eldest member of the Upper Gap Creek Free Will Baptist Church where she had served as Sunday School Teacher, Church Treasurer and Secretary and Church Clerk. She was also a member of the Upper Gap Creek Quartet for many years. Mrs. Morton was a housewife. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Lucelia Morton, Knoxville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Claude Hart, Elizabethton; Debbie and Tim Miller, Wise, VA; a sister, Anna Lea White, Elizabethton; two grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law, Chris Hart and David and Hayley Griffith Hart; all of Elizabethton; three granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Kristie and Matt Cormany, Knoxville; Julie and Jonathan Keller, Elizabethton; Bethany Miller, Wise, VA; seven great-grandchildren, Samuel, Joshua, Noah and Gabriel Cormany, Knoxville; Makenzie and Landon Keller and Ayla Hart, all of Elizabethton. The funeral service for Mrs. Morton will be conducted at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, Elizabethton with Rev. Terry Jones and Rev. Dale Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service or at the home, 2823 Bob Little Road, Elizabethton at other times. The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Lyons Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chris Hart, David Hart, Jonathan Keller, Matt Cormany, Samuel Cormany, Joshua Cormany and Danny Simerly. Honorary pallbearers will be Noah and Gabriel Cormany and Landon Keller. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 AM Wednesday.
