Read More	Ruth Elaine Gress, 93, of Fullerton, formerly of Belgrade, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Arbor Care Center in Fullerton. Inurnment will be at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. Ruth was born April 19, 1928 to William and Helen B. (Ruzicka) Kolar at Wolbach, NE. She attended elementary school at District 23 in Howard County and graduated valedictorian from Wolbach High School in 1945. She taught county school for two years in Howard County, one year in Greeley County, and one year in Nance County. On May 28, 1947, she was united in marriage to Elvin Gress in St. Paul. They moved outside of Belgrade in 1954 and in 1960, they moved into Belgrade. In 1962, they began working and traveling with the Dale T. Thomas Shows, where they operated concessions. In 1978, they began working with Lujan Carnival and in 1984, they began working with D.C. Lynch Shows. When Elvin passed away in 1987, Ruth retired from the business. In June 2013, Ruth moved to Southview Estates in Fullerton. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Belgrade and Gleaners. She enjoyed playing cards, baking, embroidering, and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her son, Kurt (Janis) Gress of Columbus; sister, Betty (Bryce) Rother of Grand Island; and her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elvin; infant son, Lonnie Gene; her parents; and in-laws, Harold and Irene Gress.
