She then attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Ruth married Marshall Brandon on January 2, 1945 at Calvary Episcopal Cathedral in Sioux Falls. Survivors include her husband, Marshall, of Sioux Falls; one son, Jeff, of West DesMoines, IA; one daughter, Mary Miller of Rochester Hills, MI; and 6 grandchildren, Allie and Ashley Brandon; Brad, Jeannie, and Erik Miller; and Bart Brandon. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert, and one brother, Curt Foster.
