Memorial service was Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Miller with Pastor David Peterson officiating. Burial followed at G.A.R. Cemetery, Miller. Read More	Ruth Roeber, 95, of Miller, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Miller. Ruth’s body was cremated. Memorial service was Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Miller with Pastor David Peterson officiating. Burial followed at G.A.R. Cemetery, Miller. She was born July 12, 1923 on a farm north of St. Lawrence, SD to Roland and Opal (Skinner) Freimark. At the age of 3, her parents moved to a farm north of Miller, SD. She attended 12 years of school in Miller, graduating in 1941. She was employed at the ASC office prior to entering the School of Nursing at the Methodist State Hospital, Mitchell, SD in 1942. After graduating, she was employed there as night supervisor until her marriage to Delton Roeber of Tulare, SD, in May 1946 in Miller City, Montana. They resided on a farm in northeast Hand County. Ruth returned to the nursing profession in October 1957 and was employed by the Hand County Memorial Hospital until 1972 at which time she began working at the Hand County Clinic. She semi-retired in 1988 and fully retired in July 1995 at 72 yrs old. Nursing was her life. Many who she attended can probably provide their own stories about Ruth with her “tell it like it is” approach. She touched many people’s lives. Ruth was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, former member of Senior Citizens, Jolly Stitchers and Ree Heights Community Club. After retiring, she helped with the local Blood Drives, working at the registration table and making reminder phone calls until 2015. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden, watching the Twins play on TV, and playing cards where she disliked losing. Family members knew her to be creative when she played. Ruth is survived by her son, Russell (Pam) Roeber, St. Charles, Mo.; two granddaughters, Lauri (John) Witt, Overland Park, Ks. and Staci Roeber, Spring, Tx.; and two great grandsons, Alex and Carter Witt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers, Ronald, Ralph and Russell Freimark. Reck Funeral Home, Miller
