Description	:	Ruth Joanne Bryant, 76, of Burlington, died at 10:23 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Born September 25, 1935, in Wapello, IA, she was the daughter of Ernest and Ruth Casten Walsinger. In July of 1953 she married Duane Bryant in Mt. Pleasant, IA. They later divorced in 1971. She was a... Read More	Ruth Joanne Bryant, 76, of Burlington, died at 10:23 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Born September 25, 1935, in Wapello, IA, she was the daughter of Ernest and Ruth Casten Walsinger. In July of 1953 she married Duane Bryant in Mt. Pleasant, IA. They later divorced in 1971. Joanne worked for Iowa Industries (Champion Spark Plug) for 18 years and bartender at the Dug Out Lounge for 12 year before retiring in 1998. She was a 1953 graduate of Wapello High School. She was a member of UAW Local 1237, AARP. She enjoyed playing cards with the Pitch Group. She was an avid Nascar racing fan. Survivors include two sons, Bill (Laura) Bryant of Burlington, and Gary (Jan) Bryant of Burlington; one daughter, Lynn (Pete) Marquis of Ashkum, IL; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Kira, Anthony, Karla, and Karri; two great-grandchildren, Gavin William Black and Maya Kay Fenton, and one nephew, Barry Martin of Des Moines, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Tony, and one sister. As per Joanne's request cremation has been accorded. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
