Description	:	Ruth was the fourth of the five known children of Roy (Sr) and Florence (Muir) Jones. Almost all the family contacted the dreaded, then deadly tuberculosis. The mother, Florence, was a committed Christian Scientist and therefore refused to seek the assistance of doctors, so most of her children died of it, one after the other. Even Florence died of TB.
