Description	:	Ruth Hudson 12-27-00 Hawk Eye, The (Burlington, IA) - Wednesday, December 27, 2000 Ruth Maxine Hudson, 86, of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua. Born Feb. 15, 1914, in Stockport, she was the daughter of Charles and Nellie Wasson Harlan. She married Delbert Hudson on Dec. 10, 1929, in Ottumwa. He died Jan. 27, 1967. Mrs. Hudson was a homemaker and also worked for 20 years at the Mental Health Institute until her retirement. She raised purebred Pomeranian dogs and made teddy bears and other stuffed animals. Survivors include two daughters, Helen Mendenhall of Mount Pleasant and Ramona Countryman of Birmingham; one son, John Hudson of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two brothers and one sister. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. There will be no family visitation. The funeral for Mrs. Hudson will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Harold Dorsey officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery, near Stockport.
