The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the funeral home. She was born July 30, 1911 in Orangeburg County, SC; the daughter of the late Sylvester L. Yancey and the late Mary Kemmerlin Yancey. She was retired from Amblers Industries and Hamricks. She was a a member of Mispah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie H. Carter and was the widow of the late Connor Geddings. She was preceded in death by a son, Dupre Carter and great grandson, Jack Riley. Survivors include 3 children; Mrs. Lila Headden, Mrs. Effie Inabinet, Ms. Billie Carter, and Charlie (Tommy) Carter, Jr.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. The family will be at the home of Joseph and Lila Headden; 2456 Ft. Motte Road; St. Matthews and at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
