Description	:	Ruth Faris was born in Medaryville, Indiana on January 11, 1904 to Edward and Nora Faris. After moving to Montana, Ruth graduated from Moccasin School, attended college in Dillon and was a school teacher in the Lewistown area. In 1925, Ruth married Frank C. Koefelda, a Montana Power electrician and they raised four children in Great Falls. In a work related accident, Frank C. Koefelda died in 1937. Following Frank's unexpected death, Ruth raised four children on her own by preparing hot lunches at Lower Sun River Elementary School and cooking meals at children's summer camps. In... Read More	Ruth Faris was born in Medaryville, Indiana on January 11, 1904 to Edward and Nora Faris. In 1947, she married Lloyd A. Love, a retired rancher and carpenter, who died in 1987. Ruth enjoyed sewing clothes, quilting, dancing, croquet and berry picking. A faithful Catholic, Ruth was a helpful neighbor and a good mother. At the age of 98, Ruth passed away on August 27, 2002 in Billings, Montana. Following a memorial service at St. Thomas Church in Billings, Ruth was buried next to her husband, Frank C. Koefelda at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Great Falls.
