Description	:	The people of Hawarden were greatly shocked Monday morning to learn of the accidental death of Miss Ruth Miller at Twin Falls Idaho. She, with a party of friends, had gone to visit the falls on horseback and upon returning home when within a half mile of the city her horse became frightened and while plunging about unseated Ruth who fell in such a manner that her nack was broken and death was almost instantaneous. Ruth May Miller was born at Dexter Iowa, Jun. 29, 1880. She came with her parents to live in Hawarden when only four years old and all her girlhood has been passed in this community. She was a graduate of the Hawarden high school, after which some little time was spent at Cedar Falls fitting herself for the teachers profession at which she became so proficient that nothing but good words have ever been said of her work. Ruth was always of a delicate constitution and had been a great sufferer for years, in fact, ever conscientious, she had given so much of herself to what ever work she was engaged in that her mental capacity was strengthened at the expense of her physical. For the past year however, she had been in comparative health, and had gone to Twin Falls Dec. 10th to begin teaching. She had made many warm friends during her short sojourn in the west as the expressions of sympathy received by her parents would testify. In fact Ruth Miller was a most lovable girl, loyal and tender to her friends, honorable and Christian like toward all. She will be sadly missed in the communtiy which has been her home so many years. The casket arrived on Thursday morning from Twin Falls, laden with flowers as a last loving tribut from her many friends. The funeral services will be held at her home tomorrow at ten o'clock. Rev. Nissen will try to speak a few comforting words to the bereaved mother and father and stricken sister and brothers, after which all that is mortal of the precious girl will be tenderly laid to rest in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the order of Eastern Stars of which organization Ruth was an honored member. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the Miller family in their great sorrow. The Independent (Hawarden, Iowa) 4/13/1911
