Read More	Rutha Mae Blundell July 17, 1933-Nov 15, 2012 Rutha Mae"Ruthie"Blundell was born July 17, 1933 to Orville A and Fern V.(Fitzgerald)Anderson, in Ainsworth, Nebraska. She was the 6th of 9 Children.Ruth married at the age of 18 and gave birth to 3 daughters. After 7 years of marriage, she was divorced and found herself left to support her 3 little girls. With determination, she worked hard to provide for her little family without seeking government assistance. Ruth had a love for music, and a beautiful voice which was developed at an early age while singing with her sisters and brothers. She taught her girls to harmonize, singing with them World War I and II songs, love songs, silly songs, and special hymns, when they were going to bed, washing dishes, and traveling.In 1965 Ruth married Francis G."Pete"Blundell, and she and her daughters moved to his place south of Chadron. She could again be a stay-at-home Mom spending more time with her girls and being involved in their activities. She volunteered her time in 4-H , teaching Music Identification and Sewing (which is another gift she passed on to her daughters).Ruth taught Sunday School, participated in Christian Women's Club, and enjoyed singing with the Melodears. When her daughters grew up, Ruth sewed their Wedding dresses. Then Grandchildren came. They thought it was a real treat to spend time with "Grammy" and "Grandad". They knew they were loved and Grammy supported their interests and talents. When her health began to fail, she became a resident of Pioneer Manor where she has lived for the past 16 years. Survivors include her husband, Pete; Daughters Roxanne L. (Terry) Publow, RaeJean (Don) Phipps, and Jeri Jo Graesser; sisters Ida Anderson and Iva Holtz; brother Pat "Andy" (Trish) Anderson; sister-in-law Mary Lou Thornton; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron.
