Description	:	R. F. Bruce, an old resident of Norfolk died in his home, 1005 Madison avenue at 8 o'clock Sunday evening from complications due to old age. Mr. Bruce suffered a serious attack of heart trouble a year ago but had apparently recovered. He was enjoying fair health up to a month ago when he became ill again. He was 79 years old. He is survived by the widow and two daughters, Mrs. E. J. Rix and Mrs. Nellie Banner. Mr. Bruce was born in Wolcott, Vt., on Dec. 19, 1837. He spent his early days farming in Vermont and he later continued the same work in Iowa. He moved to to this vicinity in 1887 and engaged in farming northeast of town until about eleven years ago when he moved to the city. He spent his last days looking after a number of residences which he owned in the city. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Edwin Booth, jr., at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in the family home and at 10:30 in the First Congregational Church. Interment will be made in Prospect Hill cemetery. The pall bearers will be G. T.
