The subject of this sketch, Sadie Eldora Busier, was born in Inland township, Cedar county, Iowa, March 18, 1875, and died in Chokio, Stevens Co., Minnesota, May 8, 1904, aged 29 years, 1 month and 20 days. She was married to John Gay February 1, 1893, and he with three little daughters survive her. Her home was always in Cedar county until about five years ago, when they moved to the western part of the state and from there to Minnesota where they lived about one year. Her usual good health was broken during the past winter and she was not well from that time, but death was unexpected. Besides her own family she leaves a father, mother, two brothers and four sisters to mourn her loss. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, and her presence in the home will be deeply missed. The remains were brought to the residence of her father, William G. Busier, and from there to the Reformed church, where services were held with interment in the Hanna cemetery.
