SALLIE PENNINGTON Gaffney, April 1--Mrs. Sallie White Pennington, 50, wife of Joe Pennington of Alma Mills, died at the hospital here early Thursday night after a short illness. The funeral will be conducted Sunday at 2 pm at the East Gaffney Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. Walter Boone, the pastor of the Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church will (be) officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch cemetery, near Blacksburg. Surviving besides her husband, are four daughters, Mrs. Robert Rice, Mrs. Eugene Branham, Mrs. Clem Roach and Miss Hazel Pennington, all of Gaffney.; a son, Amon Pennington, Gaffney; two brothers, Ike White of Chesnee, and J. Mrs. Joe Pennington is claimed by death Funeral services for Alma Mill Woman be held on Sunday Mrs. Sallie White Pennington, 50, wife of Joe Pennington of Alma Mills, died at 9:15 o'clock Thursday night at Cherokee County Hospital after an illness of eight days. Funeral services will be conducted 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the East Gaffney Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The pastor, the Rev. Walter Boone and the Rev. C. A. Kirby, pastor of the Cherokee Avenue Baptist church will be officiating ministers. Interment will be in Antioch Baptist church cemetery, near Blacksburg with the Shuford-Hatcher company, morticians, in charge. Pallbearers will be L. D. Pierce, Anderson Parker, Elbert Pierce, Roy Hodge, Jack Rice and Lewis Elmore. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pennington is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Robert Rice, Mrs. Eugene Bramham, Mrs. Clem Roach and Miss Hazel Pennington, all of Gaffney; a son, Amon Pennington, Gaffney; two brothers, Ike White of Chesnee, and J.
