Description	:	Sam Orie McNeeley, age 86, of Oak Ridge, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1928 in Lafollette, TN, the son of John Harrison McNeeley and Lola Ann Jones McNeeley. Mr. McNeeley was a US Army veteran serving his country from 1950 to 1952 He retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems where he was a machinist at the Y-12 plant. He was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Clifford "Tip" McNeeley and son, Sammy McNeeley. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Ola Lynch McNeeley;son, David McNeeley and Barbara; son, Tim McNeeley; son, Sammy Keith McNeeley; grandson, Joshua McNeeley, all of Oak Ridge; granddaughters, Meredith McNeeley and Evelyn McNeeley of Knoxville and Heather Wall of Oak Ridge; daughter-in-law, Shirley Sexton and husband Mike of Oliver Springs;sisters, Irene Ford of Jacksboro, Loraine Goins of Carlisle, OH, Launa Tiller of Oak Ridge and Wanda Vincent of Halls; long-time friend E. F. Bruce of Karns andfamily friend, Quinten Jackson of Oak Ridge. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 6 – 8 pm at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 8 pm with Rev. Steve McDonald and Rev. Bruce Robinson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10am on Wednesday for a graveside service at Anderson Memorial Garden
