Kirkpatrick, long a resident of Clay center, died at his home in this city about 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Mr. Kirkpatrick has been ill for the last eight months and at times seemed to be improving in health. At the time of his death he was 64 years, 7 months and 21 days old. He was quite prominent in the community, having lived here most all his life. He was a barber by trade up until he became ill. Besides a wife, seven children are living to mourn his death. They are: Louis, Charley, Herschel, Chester, Esther, Otis and Kenneth. Three brothers, one in Alma, Neb., and two in Colorado also survive him. The funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the First Methodist church, Rev. J. G. Dickson officiating. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery.
