He was born May 21, 1919, in rural Newton to Bernard W. and Anna (Claassen) Entz. He married Leona Enns Aug. 12, 1948, in Meade. She survives of Newton. He was born May 21, 1919, in rural Newton to Bernard W. and Anna (Claassen) Entz. He married Leona Enns Aug. 12, 1948, in Meade. She survives of Newton. He was a member of Grace Community Church in Newton. He attended District 35 Kellas School, one year at Newton High School, three years at Hesston Academy and graduated from Grace University in 1949. He was drafted in Civilian Public Service from Dec. 9, 1941 until Dec 17, 1945. He served for four years in Dennison, Iowa and North Platte, Neb. He was founding member and elder of Grace Community Church for many years. He was a missionary in Zaire where he was an Evangelist and mechanic. He was an ordained minister in the General Conference Mennonite Church. He served on the Advisory Council of Grace University in Omaha, Neb. After returning from Zaire he had a mechanic shop at his home. Other survivors include: two brothers, Walter B. Entz and Willard C. Entz, both of Newton; and two sisters, Hilda Busenitz and Edith Harms, both of Newton. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel E. Entz and William E. Entz; and one sister, Martha Entz Klaassen. Funeral services were Friday at Grace Community Church with Pastor David Reimer officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials have been established with Grace University in Omaha, Neb., African Inter-Mennonite Mission in Elkhart, Ind., or Grace Community Church in care of the funeral home
