He had been a resident of Waterloo for the last year, coming from Goldfield, Ia., where he was in the furniture and undertaking business. He had also been in business for many years at Renwick, Ia. Mr. Moseley was born Aug. 31, 1868, at Amboy. Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Moseley. The aged parents survive, residing at San Diego, Cal. His mother was at his bedside when he died. Surviving, besides his parents, are his widow and a daughter, Mrs, Hazel Gillian [Gillions], Cowart. Va.; also, two brothers, A. W. Moseley, Waterloo [Goldfield], and F. C. Moseley, Goldfield, Ia. Moseley Died Wednesday, May 9 Samuel Elsworth Moseley was born near Amboy, Ill., Aug. 31, 1868, and died May 9, 1928. Being stricken with paralysis March 9, he was confined to his bed from then until his death. About a week before his death he contracted pneumonia which was too much for his weakened condition and he passed quietly away at his home at Waterloo, Iowa, May 9. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, a daughter, Mrs. A. R. Gillions of Cowart, Va., his father and mother, two brothers, A. W. and F. C. Moseley of Goldfield, Iowa, one niece and four nephews at Goldfield, and one grandchild. After a short service at the home, the morning of May 13, he was taken to Renwick, Iowa, where a funeral was held at the home of Miss Ora Phipps. Rev. Nicholson of Goldfield conducted the service assisted by Rev. Simpson of the Methodist church of Goldfield, Iowa. Interment was at Elmwood cemetery, Renwick, Iowa. Source: E. After a short service at the home the morning of May 13th, he was brought to Renwick, where a service was held at the home of Miss Ora Phipps at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. He was laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery. The services at Waterloo were conducted by Rev. J. Arthur Young of the First Methodist church, and at Renwick by Rev. J. S. Nicholson of Goldfield Methodist Church.
