Description	:	Highland Recorder March 18, 1949 S. H. Ralston died at his home, 649 Gypsy Avenue, Monday March 14 afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. He had been in failing health for the past four months. Mr. Ralston was born in McDowell. Highland County, Feb. 18, 1868 and lived his early life in that neighborhood. He married the former Miss Carrie Mullenax, Blue Grass, who preceded him in death in June, 1947. They made their home in Blue Grass until 1938 when they moved to Staunton. Surviving are one son. Samuel Ralston briefly operated a general store in Blue Grass with his uncle Abraham D.
