Description	:	Last Wednesday evening Samuel I., son of Samuel Cockeram aged 17 years, was in a situation, breaking ears of corn for Hal Stines in West Blue, where at the time working some heifers, in a playful manner ran into him and one struck him in about the small of the back throwing him forward with great force, He hit his head against the crib probably rupturing a blood vessel in his head, regaining his feet, he watered the cows and then went to the house and ate supper. Read More	Last Wednesday evening Samuel I., son of Samuel Cockeram aged 17 years, was in a situation, breaking ears of corn for Hal Stines in West Blue, where at the time working some heifers, in a playful manner ran into him and one struck him in about the small of the back throwing him forward with great force, He hit his head against the crib probably rupturing a blood vessel in his head, regaining his feet, he watered the cows and then went to the house and ate supper. After supper complaining he was feeling unwell, he went to bed and shortly feeling worse. Mr. Stines came with camphor, which seemed to help him to some extent, but checking the hired man,with what happened, noticed him throwing his head in an alarming manner and the youth unable to speak, alerted Mr. Stines, who at once sent a message to the city for a physician and alerted the parents of the condition of their son, the sufferer expired shortly after the doctors arrival. From the lack of alarming symptoms present and the youth having made no complaint, no one supposed him to be seriously hurt until near morning. Mr. Cockeram, the father, is the engineer of the Chester freight train was compelled to go on his run with a heavy heart at the intense suffering under a fearful sense received telegraphic notice of the result. The body was brought to the home of his parents Thursday, where it remained preserved until 9 o'clock the following Saturday, when the funeral services took place at the M.E. Church. There was a large attendance. Pretty flowers decorated the from of the pulpit and a wreath rested on the casket during the services at the church.
