His death was caused by heart trouble and followed an illness of two weeks. Sam was a son of Henry C. and Martha Miller McPheron. He was born at his present home on October 28, 1873 and was 67 years of age. Mr. McPheron had never married. He is survived by one brother, George McPheron of south of the city (Fort Scott); and a sister, Ann Rae of Auburn, Washington. He attended the Baptist church and was a member of the I. O.O. F lodge, first joining at Arcadia and later transferring to Garland. The body was taken to the Konantz funeral home. The funeral services are to be held at the Cherry Grove church and are to be in charge of the Rev. R. B. Shoemaker. The time is to be announced later. Interment is to be made at the Large (Pleasant View) cemetery.
