Description	:	Samuel Martin Babb, who passed away at his home in Maryville, Missouri, August 9, was born in Fountain County, Indiana, October 14, 1907. He moved with his parents to Monroe County, Iowa in 1851 and in 1862 he was united in marriage to Julia Ann Swartz. They came to Montgomery County to make their home in 1865,, living about 7 miles south of Red Oak until 1903 when they moved to Maryville, Missouri. Read More	Samuel Martin Babb, who passed away at his home in Maryville, Missouri, August 9, was born in Fountain County, Indiana, October 14, 1907. He moved with his parents to Monroe County, Iowa in 1851 and in 1862 he was united in marriage to Julia Ann Swartz. They came to Montgomery County to make their home in 1865,, living about 7 miles south of Red Oak until 1903 when they moved to Maryville, Missouri. The deceased was a well known and highly respected citizen of this county were he leaves many friends. The wife and four children are left to travel the rest of life's journey, without his words of council and love. Four children preceded him to the better world. The surviving children are Amos F., Edward W., and Mrs. W. S. Woods who reside near Maryville, Missouri , and Mrs. Jonathan Flood, of Red Oak, all of whom except Mrs. Woods were present at the funeral services which was held at the church in Coburg, August 12. Interment was made in the Franklin Grove Cemetery. The pall bearers were J. Beeson, T. F. Beeson, A. M. Burris, J. M. Money, and N. P. Weidman. The singers were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weidman, M. Konkel, A. F. Peterson, Orville Burris, and B. Faust.
